HUNTINGTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- If you start to notice some extra activity on Interstate 64, it may look like regular construction, but if you take a closer look you’ll find West Virginia State Police troopers.

Troopers began cracking down on people speeding through work zones Monday.

The West Virginia Department of Transportation, along with West Virginia State Police, launched a new campaign called Work Zone Safety Danger Zone. It is an effort to prevent crashes and make work zones safer for construction workers and motorists.
