Judge Rebuffs Plans To Fix Psych Hospitals

(Huntington, WV)  --  A West Virginia judge is rejecting three separate proposals to address safety and staffing problems at the state's two psychiatric hospitals.  In yesterday's ruling Circuit Court Judge Duke Bloom said the state's health and human services department has yet to submit a viable plan.  Sharpe Hospital in Weston and Mitchell-Bateman Hospital in Huntington are the focus of a court case over treatment of mental health patients.
