(Huntington, WV)  --  A scientist at Marshall University says he's found a cancer-causing chemical in Charleston water samples.  Scott Simonton told a joint legislative committee on water resources that he found formaldehyde in water samples and the lack of data on the Elk River samples is troublesome.  Simonton is a member of the state Environmental Quality Board, which oversees water permits for the state.  He says he and his family are still not drinking or boiling the water until it's safe.
