BOYD COUNTY, Ky. (WSAZ) – The winning candidates in the Boyd County Judge Executive race are a combined 2-0 in their political careers.

This was the first time both ran for public office.

Steve Towler took the Democratic nomination.

"I'm 1-and-0, and it's pretty exciting,” Towler said. “I was optimistic all the way. In the last few days, I got a little nervous about it, but it all came out very well, so I'm very excited."

Towler is a former Ashland Independent Schools Superintendent who says economic development is his number one priority.
