NYC Judge Fines Trump Again For Violating Gag Order As The Prosecutions Cas

The Judge in former President Trump’s NYC case has threatened him with jail time if he continues to violate the gag order.  Trump received a $1,o00 fine for the second time and Judge Merchan told him that he would throw him in jail but claims its “the last thing I want to do.”

Last week, former President Trump was fined $9,000 for violating the gag order on 9 separate occasions when he commented about witnesses giving testimony.

“Defendant is hereby put on notice that if appropriate and warranted, future violations of its lawful orders will be punishable by incarceration,” said the judge.

According to the New York Post, “Prosecutors in Trump’s hush money trial are moving deeper into his orbit following an inside-the-room account about the former president’s reaction to a politically damaging recording that surfaced in the final weeks of the 2016 campaign. Hope Hicks, a former White House official and for years a top aide, is by far the closest Trump associate to have taken the witness stand in the Manhattan trial.”

“Her testimony Friday was designed to give jurors an insider’s view of a chaotic and pivotal stretch in the campaign, when a 2005 recording showing Trump talking about grabbing women without their permission was made public and when he and his allies sought to prevent the release of other potentially embarrassing stories. That effort, prosecutors say, included hush money payments to a porn actor and Playboy model who both have said they had sexual encounters with Trump before he entered politics,” claims the NY Post.

“I had a good sense to believe this was going to be a massive story and that it was going to dominate the news cycle for the next several days,” Hicks testified about the  “Access Hollywood” recording. “This was a damaging development.”

However her testimony completely backfired on prosecutors because she was highly emotional, credible and destroyed the credibility of their star witness Michael Cohen.

As the NYC Trump trial reaches its third week, the prosecution has failed to present any evidence of actual wrongdoing by Trump.

Trump is charged with 34 felony counts of falsifying business records claiming the Trump Organization reimbursed Michael Cohen for hush money payments and logged it incorrectly as a legal expense.

Trump has denied all allegations of sexual relationships with any women that have accused him and has plead not guilty to all charges.

The NY Post reported, “So far, jurors have heard from witnesses including a tabloid magazine publisher and Trump friend who bought the rights to several sordid tales about Trump to prevent them from coming out and a Los Angeles lawyer who negotiated hush money deals on behalf of both Daniels and Playboy model Karen McDougal.”

Attorney’s for former President Trump have represented him very well in court and believe that the outcome of the case will reside with a possible tainted jury selection. His lawyers have also shredded the credibility of all the prosecution’s witnesses.

Trump continues to publicly say that “this gag order is totally unconstitutional. I’m the Republican candidate for president of the United States … and I’m sitting in a courthouse all day long listening to this stuff.”
