I became a Dad 14 years ago on Father's Day when my oldest son was born on June 18, 2000.
The time I spend with my Dad is so precious to me! He's had a huge impact in my life and the lives of many others. I just hope I can have half the impact he's had as a Dad.
That's a picture of me and Dad as we celebrated his 88th birthday, which was June 1st.
Going to see him again this weekend for Father's Day!
Today, the 8:00 hour was devoted to Father's Day. I spoke to two accomplished authors who write about being a father.
Richard Greenberg is the author of Raising Children That Other People Like to Be Around. He gives common sense advice for Dads. Richard says to focus on our children's positives rather than the negative.
My second guest was WV native Steve Chapman. Steve's latest book is With Dad on a Deer Stand. Steve and wife Annie have raised two children and are successful Nashville recording artists. They have great advice for raising kids!
