CHARLESTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- A bill has been introduced in the West Virginia House to make the Holy Bible the official state book of the state.
House Bill 2568 aims to amend the state code to make the Bible the official state book of West Virginia.
The bill was introduced Monday by delegates from Kanawha, Lincoln, Logan, Boone, Mingo, Wayne, Jackson, Ohio and Upshur counties.
The bill was referred to the Judiciary Committee.
