Huntington Police Release 2016 Crime Numbers

HUNTINGTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- Huntington Police have released the crime statistics for 2016.

According to HPD, there were 1,163 overdoses reported in the city with 60 them resulting in death.

Statistics show there were 12 murders in the city and there were more than 300 reports of violent crime.

Huntington Police say they collected 2608 grams of heroin with amounts to a $456,000 value.
