Man admits to sexual assault while interviewing to be police officer

KANAWHA COUNTY, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- A man has been arrested on sexual assault charges after investigators say he admitted to recording a video of a sexual encounter he had with a woman who had passed out after a night of drinking.

Tyler Price, 21, of Nitro is charged with 2nd degree sexual assault.

According to the criminal complaint, Price admitted the incident to South Charleston Police while he was at the department interviewing to be a probationary police officer.

When police interviewed the woman, she told police she didn't consent and had no knowledge of having sex with Price or that any video had been recorded.

According to the criminal complaint, the woman told police she had consumed quite a bit of alcohol on the night the sexual assault took place.

The woman also told police Price had called her the day of the interview telling her about the sexual assault and the video.
