A woman has died after a fire at home in Carter County early this morning.
Beatrice Carroll, 91, died in the fire. The fire happened in the Rattlesnake Ridge area of Carter County.
Crews tell WSAZ the house was already 90% destroyed by the time they got on scene.
Carroll's son lives in a home behind hers and said by the time he got to the house it was already too late.
There is no word on what caused the fire.
