ALKOL, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- Two juveniles are facing cruelty to animal charges after a picture of a hanging dog has been making rounds on social media.
Trooper S.G. Fox with the West Virginia State Police says that they were alerted to the picture Monday afternoon.
He tells WSAZ that the two juveniles admitted to hanging the stray dog and killing it on Saturday in the Alkol area of Lincoln County.
According to Trooper Fox the suspects said that it was a stray dog that was sickly and they believed it was going to die.
