One Dead in Wayne County Accident

WAYNE COUNTY, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- One person is dead and a mother is counting her blessings after a car accident and fire in Wayne County.

Route 152 in Wayne County is closed in both directions near German Ridge Hill in Lavalette after a car and SUV crashed.

According to a passerby, the car was on fire when he came up on the accident and woman was crawling out of the SUV.

The passerby ran up to the woman and helped her get away since the car was burning.

The passerby tells WSAZ it was too late to help the other driver.

The parents of the woman driving the SUV said they thanked God she was not injured worse and that her kids were not with her at the time of the accident.
