LAWRENCE COUNTY, Ohio (WSAZ) -- The National Weather Service says a tornado has been confirmed after last night's weather event in Lawrence County.
The NWS Survery says Thursday that the storms that rolled through the area produced a high-end EF-1 tornado.
The tornado started in Ironton and went in a northeastern direction according to the National Weather Service.
Multiple reports of damage were reported in the Ironton area of Lawrence County.
Parts of Porter Gap Road in Coal Grove were closed after storm damage and numerous power lines and trees were knocked down in the storm.
