Fire damages cars in parking lot of the Huntington Mall

HUNTINGTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- Multiple cars were damaged Monday evening in a fire at the Huntington Mall.

Cabell County 911 dispatchers tell WSAZ it happened just before 6 p.m. in the mall parking lot, just off of U.S. 60 in Barboursville.

Dispatchers say at least two cars were completely destroyed, with others sustaining heat damage.

One car owner whose vehicle was destroyed said he heard more than one explosion.

The Barboursville Fire and Police departments responded to the call.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
