A virtual bond hearing for the 17-year-old accused of being the mastermind behind a massive Twitter hack and Bitcoin scam was suspended after people "zoombombed" the meeting. Graham Clark is facing 30 felony charges for allegedly hacking the accounts of numerous prominent individuals, including Bill Gates, Elon Musk, Barack Obama, and Kanye West.
Clark's bond was set at $750,000, and his lawyers filed a motion to have it reduced. As they tried to make their case to the judge, people posing as journalists interrupted the virtual hearing by playing loud music, yelling racial slurs, and displaying pornographic images.
The meeting was postponed for ten minutes, but when it resumed, people continued to interrupt the proceedings. The judge ultimately denied Clark's request for lower bail.
The next hearing is scheduled for October 7 and will be password protected.
