A Georgia woman was left with painful injuries after being attacked by a group of brown recluse spiders while she was cleaning out her shed in early July. Jessica Rogue told WANF she was trying to wipe away a large cobweb when the spiders jumped at her, biting her in the face.

While Rogue thought she was fine at first, within 24 hours, her face, arms, and throat started to swell up, and she had to be rushed to the hospital.

"This is escalating, this is getting worse. I really didn't know for sure. I've been bitten by spiders so many times. I had no idea what it was; there's no way it could have done that to me," she told the news station. "Yeah, a brown recluse can do these things to do."

The attack left her with scars and rashes on her face, arms, neck, and chest. She also suffered damage to her eye and must wear an eyepatch.

"My eye is what I'm really worried about. My eye is... I'm having a lot of pain. I just don't know what's going to happen with my eye," she said.
