Paul E. Davis
The General Manager and CEO of the Tri-State Transit Authority June 1, 2009 to present. Employed in the transit industry since 1988. Prior to working in transit, served as a retail store manager for 12 years with Heck’s Inc.
The Tri-State Transit Authority (TTA) is headquartered in Huntington, WV employs 75 people and provides bus service to Wayne County, Westmoreland, Cabell County, Huntington, Barboursville, and Milton.
Graduated from Marshall University with an under graduate degree in political science (2004). Obtained a Masters Degree in Marshall’s Executive MBA program (2009) while working full time as the General Manager of the Transit Authority.
Recognized at both the state and federal government levels as a spokesman for smaller transit systems and as a leader in the transit industry. Successfully participated in the creation of legislation which secured funding for the Pullman Square development in Huntington. Through his years in the transit industry Paul has secured nearly 100 million dollars in funding for Cabell County and the City of Huntington.
Past President of the West Virginia Public Transit Association.
Named Transit Employee of the year by the West Virginia Division of Public Transit (1997). Named West Virginia Transit Manager of the year (2012).
Active in various community service organizations; past President of the Huntington Kiwanis and Rotary Club, past President of Hite-Saunders Little League, is member of the Kiwanis Club of Huntington and the Huntington Rotary Club. Member of various Masonic organizations including a member of Beni Kedem Shriners, Charleston, WV and is past Master of his Masonic lodge in Louisa, KY. Also a board member of the Scottish Rite Foundation Speech and Hearing Clinic at Marshall University (past Chair).
Is an active member in municipal and county economic development and business associations. Serves as a member of the Huntington Live committee of the Huntington Regional Chamber of Commerce. Serves as the Chairman of Downtown Huntington Partners.
