Rita's Brisket for Hanukkah

Ora’s Brisket Either cook in the crockpot or roast in oven.

2-3 pounds brisket

1 bottle, 12 oz, chili sauce (I like Bennett’s)

1/2 cup dark brown sugar, packed, or more to taste

1 can, 10 oz good quality beef broth

1 large sized onion, sliced

1/4 teaspoon ground cloves

2 bay leaves

Salt and pepper to taste

Put everything in crockpot and cook on low 8-10 hours or until tender. Or bake covered, in preheated 325-degree oven for about one hour per pound. Remove bay leaves.
