Trump Moves To Revamp Organ Transplant, Kidney Dialysis Systems

President Donald Trump Delivers Remarks On Advancing American Kidney Health

President Trump is streamlining federal rules for the nation's organ transplant and kidney dialysis systems in an effort that he says could save thousands of lives every year. Speaking in DC today, Trump said an executive order will bring new hope to millions of Americans who have kidney disease. It's estimated that up to 30 million Americans have chronic kidney disease. There's a severe shortage of transplant organs in the U.S. and long waiting lists for donor organs. Trump said far too many patients are "dying while they wait."
