President Trump is deploying federal agents to Chicago to combat violence.
President Trump announced yesterday that the FBI, ATF, DEA and Homeland Security will be sending hundreds of officers to the city to work with police and other local and state law enforcement.
The President called Mayor Lightfoot after his news conference to reiterate his plan. The mayor's office called the conversation brief and straightforward. Trump's announcement comes a day after a mass shooting outside a South Side funeral home left 15 people were wounded.
